MCPLD Databases linked to school websites.
Database usage has increased 72%.
More access to school users because school district's IP previously blocked other public library subscriptions.
Literacy
MCPLD Literacy Center at Rocky Mountain Elementary tutoring Spanish Speaking Parents.
Funded by the School district's 21st Century Grant.
School Site has purchased same training materials as MCPLD Literacy center uses (Rosetta Stone).
Two more sites are planned for down the road--Clifton Elementary & Mt Garfield Middle School.
MCPLD will be doing the assessments based on the BEST Literacy Assessment materials.
We will send 2 of our volunteer tutors to their site.
Schools provide childcare (using high school students doing community service hours).
School Library Intern Field Experience
2 school library interns have conducted their field experience for their Master's program in the past year.
